The Christmas season is in full swing, and Roblox has plenty of ways for you to celebrate the most festive time of the year.
Below, we’ll highlight five of the best Christmas-themed games that we recommend playing this holiday season. Keep in mind, these are full standalone games, rather than Christmas-themed updates to existing titles. Roblox has plenty of those, too.
Christmas Tycoon by Mousetrap Studios
Christmas Tycoon allows players to build Santa’s workshop and wrap presents for other Roblox users. Players start by grabbing a name off of Santa’s list, and can then pick up and wrap the appropriate present before sending it on its way on a conveyor belt. Players earn cash for each present they send, which can be spent to build and upgrade Santa’s workshop. What starts as a flat plot of land in the middle of a field soon becomes a bustling hub of activity, complete with Santa’s office, a bunk room for the elves, and lots and lots of Christmas decorations.
To boost their money-making potential, players can also spend cash on random helper elves, who will automatically wrap presents while players are busy doing other things. Plus, once players finish building Santa’s workshop, they’ll have the chance to trigger a rebirth and start the process again from the beginning, this time with a boost to the cash they’ll earn over time and the chance to build new structures that only unlock by completing these Rebirths.
Snowman Simulator by Gunslinger Games
This festive game challenges players to build the biggest snowman possible by walking across snow to collect it before delivering it to the current snowman at their base. Each snowman has a maximum size, and once this is reached, players can Rebirth to build a larger snowman the next time around (they’ll also receive in-game rewards with each Rebirth). Over time, players can purchase different skins for their Snowman to change its look, open wrapped presents, collect pets to boost their stats (like increasing their inventory space), and even battle bosses (like a yeti) using what else? Snowball launchers.
Christmas Obby! by Wagootmwwto
This Christmas-themed obstacle course is split into 60 segments full of red, white, and green platforms, presents, and other themed elements. A checkpoint marks the end of each segment, allowing players to continue where they left off if they leave the game and come back, or if they fall off of the course. Players can spend Robux on boosts, like a speed coin that will increase their movement speed. Plus, if players are feeling naughty, rather than nice, they can spend Robux to reset other players’ progress or even “kill” everyone in the server. Please don’t do that if we’re around!
Christmas Barry’s Prison Run by Young Bosses Pink
While the concept of breaking out of prison doesn’t really scream “holiday,” Christmas Barry’s Prison Run makes it work. Christmas Barry the prison guard isn’t very good at his job, allowing players to quickly escape from their cell. From there, they’ll need to avoid obstacles and prison guards as they try to find the exit in an elaborately-themed Christmas prison. The game is designed to be played from a first-person perspective, so watch out for the jump scares when a prison guard nabs you!
Santa’s Gift Line by Nukes Studios
Most would probably agree that waiting in line is one of the least fun things we can do in life, and yet, line waiting games are super popular on Roblox, as they combine the tedium of waiting in line with the ability to cut in front of other players to make it to the front faster. In Santa’s Gift Line, players will wait in line to see Santa and will automatically generate money as they wait. Players can spend this cash to skip one step ahead in the line.
The line will move naturally as the players at the front finish visiting Santa, so, in theory, players could do nothing and eventually meet the big guy. However, cutting is really the point here, as players will frequently swap positions in their attempt to reach the front of the line, and doing nothing will likely see them pushed all the way to the back. Once players finally reach Santa, they’ll receive a toy and will have a few minutes to freely explore his small cabin and decorated backyard. When time’s up (or if they decide to leave early), they’ll get back in line and can start the process all over again.
