5 of the Best Roblox Games To Play for Halloween

Halloween is nearly upon us, and Roblox has plenty of ways for players to celebrate the spookiest time of the year.

Here are five of the best Roblox games to play for Halloween!

Before we begin, we want to note our list contains only family-friendly experiences. Roblox offers lots of mature games in the “horror” genre, but for this list, we went with choices that are perfect for all ages.

Halloween Tycoon by High Five Productions

As the name suggests, this traditional Roblox tycoon game asks players to walk over buttons to spend money to build Halloween-themed structures, like a large “haunted” mansion. The more items players construct, the more money they’ll automatically earn over time, driving the simple gameplay loop forward. Plus, as players finish certain builds, they’ll unlock costumes for their avatar to use throughout the experience. Finally, players can spend Robux, Roblox’s premium currency, on permanent upgrades, like one that doubles their income.

Halloween Bobas by Two Player Heroes

This scavenger hunt challenges players to find 100 friendly boba drinks scattered around a Halloween-themed environment. Some boba drinks are out in the open, requiring no effort to find, while others are better hidden or perched in areas requiring some careful platforming to reach. As players achieve certain collection milestones, they’ll unlock in-game boosts, like a ghostly sheet for their avatar to wear that gives them faster movement speed. Players can also purchase permanent upgrades, like a pumpkin jetpack, using Robux.

Care Bears: Caring Quest by Care Bears x Exclusible

Care Bears: Caring Quest is an officially-branded 3D platformer that challenges players to rescue the friendly Care Bears after their world is covered in a dark muck. For Halloween, players can travel to a themed event zone and complete activities to collect Seeds of Caring, the game’s special currency. As players collect the required number of these seeds, they’ll receive event-themed Care Bears, as well as a special “Spooky Stone,” which can be used on the game’s gacha machine to unlock even more Halloween-themed Care Bears and buddy helpers. Outside of these free items, the game’s store is also stocked with Halloween-themed Care Bears and buddies, like Werewolf Grumpy, Undead Funshine, and the White Bat Buddy, among others.

Sonic Speed Simulator by Gamefam x Sonic

This official Sonic the Hedgehog Roblox experience allows players to collect experience crystals, rings, and more as they race through environments like Green Hill and Lost Valley. The more crystals players collect, the higher they’ll level up, increasing their overall running speed. For Halloween 2024, players can collect candy and bash ghosts across Green Hill and a themed zone called Pumpkin Hill to collect spooky rewards like Pumpkin Chao, a Reaper Metal Sonic playable character, and a Vampire Silver playable character. While many rewards are available for free, a premium reward track can also be purchased with Robux, featuring even more themed rewards, including the Werehog playable character.

Halloween Obby by Epicbox Games

This themed obstacle course practically screams Halloween, challenging players to clear 100 sections full of orange and black platforms, giant pieces of candy corn, jack-o-lanterns, and more, all while avoiding any red shapes. Sections are divided by checkpoints, so even if you fall off of the stage, you won’t be sent back very far. Admittedly, this Halloween obstacle course isn’t very challenging (and I say that as someone who isn’t great at Roblox platforming), so if you’re looking for something that will really test your skills, just search for “Halloween Obby” in the Roblox app, and you’ll find plenty of other options to try.
