While Roblox is considered by many to be a platform for “kids,” the Roblox catalog features plenty of mature experiences even adults can enjoy. This includes a variety of shooters that challenge players to eliminate their opponents using all kinds of virtual weaponry.
Here are five of the best shooters on Roblox.
Arsenal
Arsenal allows players to compete with and against other players across a slew of multiplayer game modes, such as “Snipers Only” and “Gun Rotation.” Each time players make a kill, their weapon will automatically change, requiring them to adapt on the fly to different kinds of weapons and projectiles. At the same time, Arsenal features such fast-paced gameplay that players won’t have much time to practice with each gun, as the average player can expect to remain alive for only a few seconds before being taken out. As players complete matches, they’ll earn XP and can unlock new playable character avatars, kill effects, and more. Some of these items are also available for premium purchase.
Foam Strike
Originally called NERF Strike, this FPS is themed after the popular foam dart toy guns, and, as you might expect, allows players to shoot their opponents with virtual versions of those toys, rather than real bullets. The game offers multiple modes, like one inspired by Team Deathmatch, and allows players to customize their loadout with a variety of NERF weaponry they can unlock over time. Players can earn experience points and level up, and they can also instantly unlock new content through in-game purchase.
Rivals
This FPS allows players to compete in 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, and 5v5 duels, with the first player or team to win five rounds taking the match. During each round, players have a single life, with the winner being the last player or team standing. Rivals features a variety of ranged and melee weapons, including grenades, and players can test each one freely in the game’s shooting range. New players are eased into the experience via tutorial missions and the ability to compete in exclusive “Beginner 1v1” duels.
As players complete matches and finish the game’s missions (including daily tasks), they’ll earn keys they can spend to upgrade their weapons, purchase new ones, and buy a variety of cosmetic upgrades for their guns, like wraps and skins. Players can spend Robux on additional keys if they want to unlock something instantly.
Entry Point
This stealth/action FPS allows players to join a secret organization known as Halcyon and complete cooperative missions for up to four players that will see them infiltrate banks and more. Players can create a character in one of four classes, each with different perks, and then complete story-based missions to earn in-game funds that can be spent on things like new weapons. In addition to these cooperative missions, Entry Point features a “Shadow War” mode with pvp gameplay. It’s worth pointing out Entry Point features content with mature themes, like murder and robbery, and it has a 13+ age rating on Roblox as a result.
Zombie Hunters
In Zombie Hunters, players can complete missions for up to four players that challenge them to defeat zombies and other enemies, including bosses. Players start with access to a few weapons, and they can collect more (as well as armor pieces) over time. As players complete missions, they’ll level up and can spend “Stat Points” to improve their overall gun power, skill power, and health. They’ll also collect cash they can spend on additional upgrades for their character’s stats.
