5 of the Best Tycoon Games on Roblox
While generally not as complicated as traditional tycoon games, Roblox tycoon experiences still offer satisfying gameplay.

In the world of traditional video games, the “tycoon” genre includes games that typically allow players to build and manage a business in order to earn a profit over time (think games like RollerCoaster Tycoon and Zoo Tycoon).
On Roblox, tycoon games generally have this same premise, but with a stripped-down gameplay loop (though there are exceptions). That is, rather than featuring complex menus and systems, tycoon experiences on Roblox generally ask players to walk across buttons to build individual structures, pieces of furniture, and more, and will automatically generate an increasing amount of money every few seconds for players to collect.
This setup is extremely popular among Roblox experiences, giving players plenty of options to choose from when it comes to finding a new game to enjoy. With so many options available, Restart has done the hard work of digging through the masses to create a list of five of the best tycoon games on Roblox we recommend trying out.
Marble Run Tycoon 2
Let’s start with a really clever option: Marble Run Tycoon 2, which allows players to construct a complex marble run across multiple floors and watch marbles slide down ramps into a hopper at the bottom of the course. Marbles of different colors will automatically fall from the sky into their matching ramps, and players will earn a set amount of money as each marble finishes the course, based on its color. As players add ramps of different colors and patterns to their marble run, they’ll unlock more and more valuable marbles, allowing them to earn money faster over time.
Players can collect free in-game rewards if they stay logged in for the required amount of time each day. They can also spend Robux on upgrades for the experience, like one that doubles the amount of money they’ll earn from each marble that falls into the hopper, and Gold Droppers that add valuable gold marbles and ramps to the course.
Finally, a “Spectate” feature allows players to watch a marble of a desired color make its way through the course from an overhead perspective.
Build-A-Bear Tycoon
This simple tycoon game inspired by the Build-A-Bear Workshop retail chain allows players to walk across buttons to build their own Build-A-Bear Workshop store, as well as other locations around town, such as a hotel and hospital (additional facilities are added to the game on a fairly regular basis).
As players construct buildings, they’ll unlock a wide variety of virtual stuffed animals they can bring to life and name. Players can have a single stuffed critter following along behind them as they play. Plus, players can spend Robux on upgrades, like one that doubles the amount of money they’ll earn and another that increases their movement speed.
Super NFL Tycoon
This official NFL experience allows players to deck out their own football stadium and locker room by walking over buttons to build VIP lounges, fill the stands with fans, and even display decorations related to their favorite NFL team. The more items players construct, the more money they’ll automatically generate over time.
Players can also take their favorite team into simulated matches on the road to the Super Bowl, but like the building tasks, these simulated games require little more than a button press to complete. Rounding out the experience are quests, a field goal mini-game, and the ability to purchase lots of team-themed UGC.
My Hello Kitty Cafe
The most complex game on our list, My Hello Kitty Cafe combines the typical “tycoon” gameplay seen on Roblox with a cafe simulation experience. Players will walk across buttons to build dining tables, cooking appliances, and more on multiple floors in their Sanrio-themed cafe, and they’ll earn money as guests dine in their adorable establishment.
Like other games on our list, My Hello Kitty Cafe allows players to earn money automatically over time, as their cafe employees will seat guests, prepare dishes, and serve customers without their input. However, players can also complete these tasks themselves if they’d like to earn more money faster.
Adding even more depth to the experience are frequent limited-time events, a large grassy area that can be decorated outside of the cafe, a Coffee House that will also automatically generate profits, mini-games, and a city area players can visit that’s full of its own activities and shops. As you might expect, the game also has lots of UGC up for grabs, too.
Resort Tycoon 2
As the name suggests, Resort Tycoon 2 allows players to walk across buttons to build a tropical resort hotel and a variety of additional structures around an island, including a Coconut Factory, a Surf Shop, and an airport, among others.
The more items players construct, the more money they’ll automatically generate over time. Some builds also unlock mini-games around the island, like a go kart race at the race track. Plus, as players build different structures around the island, they’ll unlock expansions that can be built back at the resort hotel itself, such as a pool area and a pet care center.
Players can improve their experience by spending Robux on upgrades, like one that will increase their movement speed.
