Limited Astro Bot DualSense Controller To Launch Alongside Game
A limited edition themed controller will launch for Astro fans when the extended new adventure lands on PS5 this September.

A limited edition Astro Bot DualSense controller will launch alongside the latest adventure for PlayStation's mascot on September 6.
Retailing for $79.99, pre-orders will open for the cutesy design on August 9 at 7am PT/10am ET in the United States at select retailers.
The announcement comes alongside a blog from Team Asobi studio head Nicolas Doucet about how the DualSense's triggers and other haptics will delight fans in Astro Bot.

Many elements are adaptations or extensions of things that happened in the Astro's Playroom tech demo that shipped pre-installed on the PS5, but perhaps they'll feel even better when you're actually holding a recreation of Astro's Dual Speeder in your hands.
There's also some really nice concept art of the Dual Speeder showing how some of the controller interactions affect different bits of the craft as you fly along on it.
"We doubled down on the adaptive triggers combined with haptic feedback, by tying them tightly to ASTRO’s new powers," Doucet writes in the post. "For example, when using Barkster, the bulldog Jetpack, you can feel the thruster rattling against your finger in sync with the animation, giving a very dynamic and immersive feeling. Every new power up has been given that same special treatment so you will be able to experience various expressions through your fingers."
