Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will launch on October 25 for PlayStation, Xbox and PC, with a day one arrival on Xbox Game Pass as well.
The sequel to 2020's Cold War is set immediately after the collapse of the Soviet Union, in the unsteady political climate caused by the ending of veiled hostilities between the East and West.
Treyarch and Raven Software's latest take on FPS multiplayer introduces a new "omnimovement" system that allows players to sprint, slide, and dive in any direction, as well as a Supine Prone stance when you finish your action-movie diving 360.
You can run and gun your way around 16 new maps in multiplayer, with 12 core 6v6 maps and four smaller Strike maps for 2v2 or 6v6 battles. Zombies also returns in two new maps with the fan-favorite round-based gameplay restored.
A free open beta will be available sometime before launch, with those who pre-order Black Ops 6 gaining early access to the beta, as well as skins for multiple games in the Call of Duty launcher. Black Ops 6 is also available in cross-gen bundles for both Xbox One/Series and PS4/5 platforms.
