The release of EA Sports College Football 25 is less than one day away (as of this writing), and the hype is almost overwhelming. While the game may not hit consoles until July 19, one exciting piece of the puzzle goes live tonight, July 18: Team Builder.
Team Builder will launch on EA’s website Thursday evening, unleashing a staggering number of customization options on players who want to create their dream teams.
In a deep dive on the company’s website, EA said its approach when developing this new version of Team Builder focused on three core principles: offering a “Deep Creation Suite”, allowing players to “Discover & Share” content created by other fans, and “Elevating Creators” who have designed impressive content.
From the looks of things, EA went all in when developing its “deep creation suite,” as Team Builder is set to allow football fans to customize everything from their team’s name, logos, and colors to the reflectiveness of players’ helmets, the manufacturer of the team’s uniforms, and beyond. That last option is particularly important, as players will be able to choose from three uniform providers – Nike, Adidas, and Under Armor – with their choice impacting not only the equipment their team wears, but also the fonts and stitch patterns available when customizing that equipment.
In addition to customizing their team’s appearance, managers will also be able to personalize their team’s home stadium and modify their players. As part of this, they’ll be able to choose from seven generic roster types, and then further fine-tune their selection to really suit their tastes.
Once their team is finished, players will be able to publish it and later import it on their console of choice to begin using it in College Football 25. Fans will also be able to browse user-generated content through the game’s “Download Center” and the Team Builder website itself.
