A physical release of the upcoming Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will arrive November 8, 2024, two months after the digital launch.
The updated edition of Capcom’s iconic zombie action and photography game was previously announced as releasing on September 19 for digital buyers. Those hungry to add a physical copy of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster to their collections, however, will need to wait a little while longer.

If you plan to go to a mall for a copy, be sure to check if a zombie infestation has overrun the place before you head out. Or at the very least, grab a camera before you go. Unfortunately (and unsurprisingly), the physical release is exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Frank West fans on PC will have to stick with the digital version.
A closer look at the game during Capcom Next certainly made us excited to experience the upgraded version. In a recent Director’s Report trailer, game director Ryosuke Murai and producer Kei Morimoto detailed the core systems of the time-dependent game and broke down some of the changes introduced in the remaster, including the addition of extra voice acting, updated visuals, and facial motion capture.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster follows journalist Frank West, who drops onto the roof of a zombie-infested shopping mall. Over 72 hours, he has to investigate and photograph the outbreak, help survivors, and, in all likelihood, spend far too much time kicking footballs into zombies’ faces.
The remaster of the 2006 Xbox 360 game brings a range of quality-of-life improvements, as well as updated visuals, 4K resolution support, and a (hopefully) solid 60 FPS performance. The announcement for Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster was met with a lot of positivity, even with Frank’s new look being somewhat uncanny.
