Dragon Age: The Veilguard will allow players to customize their gameplay experience in a number of ways.

Ahead of the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard on October 31, 2024, BioWare and EA published a look at the game’s accessibility settings, which have been designed to ensure the game can be played by as many people as possible.

To start, the game will offer five standard difficulty options, as well as a sixth customizable option. The standard options range from “Storyteller” (for those more interested in the story than being challenged) to “Nightmare” (the most difficult option, which can’t be altered without starting a new playthrough).

After choosing a difficulty, players will have the option to tweak certain combat settings related to things like parry timing and enemy aggressiveness, among others.

The game’s interface will also be customizable, allowing players to conditionally hide or turn off certain HUD elements, like the mini map. They’ll also be able to customize the appearance of subtitles, turn off motion blur, activate color filters, adjust camera shake, and more to create an experience that suits their preferences.

Finally, the game will support remappable controls for both controller and keyboard across all platforms.
