Horizon Zero Dawn was originally released on PlayStation 4 in 2017, and now, a remastered version of the game has come to PlayStation 5 and PC.

As a refresher, Horizon Zero Dawn takes players to the far future, where they’ll follow a hunter named Aloy on her adventures in a world populated by mechanical beasts. The game’s sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, was released in 2022.

Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered allows players to experience the first chapter in Aloy’s story with graphical, gameplay, and technical improvements, including updated foliage, clouds, and other natural elements, upgrades to character models, the addition of new non-playable characters, the implementation of more than 10 hours of additional motion-capture data for the game’s characters, and more. (You can read more about the technical improvements in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered on the PlayStation Blog.)
