Following a release on PC, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox consoles in 2022, Police Simulator: Patrol Officers is now available on Switch. The game allows players to complete shifts as an up-and-coming police officer with a focus on realism.

In Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, players will become a rookie cop, with their first shift asking them to search the neighborhood around their station for parking violations. This may include everything from having an expired parking meter to parking too far away from the curb and beyond. Players will receive points as they correctly ticket vehicles, but they’ll also lose points if they make a mistake.

As players patrol the neighborhood, they may also come across pedestrian offenders, like those dropping litter or someone drinking in public. In these cases, they’ll need to verbally confront the citizen and can decide whether to give them a ticket or a verbal warning.

Players can choose the desired length for each shift, with selections ranging from 15 to 90 minutes. As they complete shifts, the points they’ve earned will help them unlock new areas to patrol. They’ll also unlock new abilities and tools over time, like a radar gun for catching speeding vehicles. As the game becomes more complicated, players will eventually find themselves investigating vehicle collisions and more. They’ll also be able to drive police vehicles, rather than walking everywhere on foot.

To help players out, a lengthy handbook features the violations players need to look out for, and they can reference this handbook during a shift. Players can complete shifts on their own or with a second player through online co-op.

The Switch version of Police Simulator: Patrol Officers is available in multiple editions. The standard edition is available digitally, while the Extended Edition is available digitally and physically. The Extended Edition comes with the Garage Bundle DLC, which includes six additional cars. The physical version of the Extended Edition also includes the Interstate Police Vehicle DLC at no additional cost.
