Talking Tom Blast Park is now available on Apple Arcade, Apple’s game subscription service that gives subscribers access to a curated selection of games for a flat monthly price. The game is the latest installment in the popular Talking Tom & Friends universe, which allows players to interact with animals like Tom, Angela, and their friends across a wide variety of experiences.
Talking Tom Blast Park challenges players to defend the Blast Park amusement park from the mischievous Racoonz. A combination of an on-rails shooter and an endless runner, the game sees Tom run through environments automatically, allowing players to focus on tapping the screen to shoot wacky weapons at enemies and obstacles in the path.
The Racoonz aren’t defensiveless, as they will shoot their own weapons at players or even charge at them for an up-close attack. When players eventually take a hit, the run ends and they’ll return to the main menu.
As players complete runs, they’ll collect coins, outfit tickets, and hammers, and they’ll also unlock new playable characters over time. Hammers can be used to repair and upgrade the amusement park, while coins can be used to unlock and upgrade new weapons, like one that shoots rubber ducks at enemies. Outfit tickets, meanwhile, can be used to unlock new outfits for Tom and the other playable characters.
Rounding out the experience, players can complete daily missions to earn coins and gems, with gems being used to purchase power-ups and “retries” during runs.
