The Patrick Star Game is out now on consoles and PC, allowing players to explore Bikini Bottom as Patrick Star, SpongeBob SquarePants’ best friend.

Rather than offering a linear storyline, The Patrick Star Game is a sandbox experience that lets players loose in a large open world with a variety of activities to complete and toys to experiment with.

Players can complete quests and mini-games for characters from the animated series, like SpongeBob, Sandy, and Mr. Krabs, though these tasks are optional. For instance, one quest challenges players to cook meals to fulfill orders at the Krusty Krab, while another asks them to clean the fire department with a water gun after Sandy accidentally covers it with purple jelly.

The game also offers a number of “feats,” or achievements for players to complete, which, along with the quests, give them some direction in what they may want to do next.

As players complete quests and feats, they’ll earn sand dollars that allow them to unlock new costumes for Patrick, like his “Elastic Man” suit and a Glove World t-shirt and hat.

Rounding out the experience, each area of Bikini Bottom, like Conch Street and Jellyfish Fields, has hidden jars of Mayo to collect. Head over to our Guides page to see where to find these Mayo jars in a few of the game’s locations.
