The Day of Doom limited time game mode has arrived in Fortnite Battle Royale, allowing players to compete in team based matches with one team acting as Doctor Doom’s Henchmen and the other acting as the Allies of the Avengers.
Each Day of Doom match supports up to 32 players. During a match, Doom’s Henchmen will be challenged to find six Arcane Artifacts. Once these items have been collected, players on the Avengers team will no longer be able to respawn. At that point, Doom’s Henchmen are challenged to eliminate the remaining Avengers players to win the match.
The first Doom Henchman player to collect an artifact in each match will become “Doom’s Chosen” and receive Doom’s Armor that will allow them to use special abilities. Once this player is eliminated, another Henchman player will be randomly selected to become Doom’s Chosen next.
As you might have guessed, during a match, the Avengers are challenged to prevent Doom’s Henchmen from collecting all six Arcane Artifacts. Doom’s Henchmen will have a large number of respawns to exhaust, but if players can survive the onslaught and defeat the Henchmen, they’ll win the match. Each time an Avengers player spawns in Day of Doom, they’ll be equipped with one of four randomly assigned loadouts inspired by Captain America, War Machine, Iron Man, or Black Panther.
The Day of Doom mode will be available through Discover until October 4, 2024 at 9 a.m. ET.
As part of Fortnite’s Day of Doom update, Stark Mobile Armories will fall from the sky in Battle Royale and Zero Build. Each armory will have one of two designs inspired by Iron Man or War Machine. Players can enter these armories to find helpful items, as well as the Iron Man Armor Stand, which can spawn either Iron Man’s Combat Kit and Flight Kit or War Machine’s Arsenal, Auto Turret, and Hover Jets. Each of these Armor Stands can only be interacted with a single time.
