Learn how to lean in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle and you can peek around corners to get the drop on unsuspecting enemies. Confusingly, you can’t lean at any time, and much like knowing how to use a repair kit, the input is a little obtuse on both console and PC. That being the case, below we’ve covered how to lean on both platforms so you can add the skill to Indy’s arsenal.

At the time of writing, you can only lean in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle while holding a weapon. That can be a gun or a melee item like a shovel. In either case, it is, for some reason, only possible to learn while holding one and preparing to throw the item (or shoot a gun).

Console: To lean in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle on console, hold L2/LT to ready your held item to throw (or aim with a gun). Then click in the left or right stick to lean left or right, respectively.

PC: To lean in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle using mouse and keyboard, hold right click to ready your held item to throw (or aim with a gun). Then press the Z or C key to learn left or right, respectively.

It’s a little unwieldy that you can only lean while holding a weapon, but given how much stuff is left lying around for Indy to grab, it shouldn’t prove too difficult to find something for him to hold while he gets his lean on.

Bear in mind that you are not invisible while leaning in Indiana Jones and The Great Circle. Guards looking in your direction will be able to see you even if the bulk of your body is behind, say, an ancient crumbling pillar in the desert. Leaning is handy, but you'll still need to stay sneaky.
