Below we’ll walk you through how to solve the A Game of Wits Mystery in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which is found in Voss’ camp to the north of the map. So if you’re just after the code, scroll down to the bottom.

As the Lorenzo’s Challenge note details, you need to record the row numbers corresponding to the end point of each blue piece moved. Not the row they started from. To understand how to solve the A Game of Wits Mystery, you’ll need a quick primer of the rules of mak-yek. Fortunately, there’s a sheet on the table right next to the game.

Pieces can be captured by surrounding them or by moving between two that are one space apart. As such, we’re going to have to clear the three blocks of red pieces using four moves. We will refer to pieces based on their column letter (A-H) and their row number (1-8)

  • First, we need to move the piece in F1 up to F3, capturing the pieces either side of it.
  • Then we need to move H1 across to D1, capturing the piece next to it.
  • Next we need to move B1 up to B8, capturing all of the long line of reds at the top.
  • Finally, we can now move F8 down to F6, capturing the final pair of reds.

Collected together, the safe code we need is therefore: 3186
