Games To Look Forward to in June 2024
Plenty of blockbusters are dropping just as summer gets started, and these are the ones to watch for as you try to beat the heat!

June's game releases are perhaps over-shadowed (heh) by a DLC expansion to one of the greatest games of all time, but there are plenty of gems left to discover. The twisted truth to that opening is that it could mean very different things to Guardians or Loyal Tarnished, as both Destiny 2 and Elden Ring are getting much-anticipated new content this month.
Alongside major new chapters for lore-hungry fantasy warriors on both sides of the aisle, there are some family pleasers too. Following on from the success of last month's Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, there are a few more welcome additions to Nintendo's catalog, including a Monster Hunter Stories collection on June 14, Luigi's Mansion 2 HD on June 27, and Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble on June 25. The updated Tchia: Oléti Edition also finally makes its way to Switch on June 27, too. A real joy of a creature-hopping adventure game, that one!

June 2024 Game Releases
Destiny 2: The Final Shape releases on June 4.

June starts off with a bang with Destiny 2's eighth expansion, The Final Shape, continuing the space opera's story as you pursue The Witness into the Pale Heart of the Traveler. This DLC is set to be the conclusion of the Light vs Dark saga that began with the series' introduction, so expect a spectacular show.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree releases on June 21.

Elden Ring's long-awaited DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, arrives June 21, with a story following in the footsteps of Miquella. Curiously absent from the base game, the ever-young Empyrean departed on a journey to the Land of Shadow, where you will discover even more twisted familial tales in the pursuit of power and the Elden Ring. There are new weapon types, enemies, and bosses to smash your face against over and over again. We can't wait!
