In addition, NetEase and Marvel announced two new characters will be added to the game’s roster during its closed beta period, which runs from now until August 5 on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Thor and Jeff the Land Shark will be added to the closed beta on July 27.
Marvel Rivals takes place in a world where “the merciless clash between the tyrannical dictator Doctor Doom and his future counterpart from the year 2099 has forced countless universes to collide in the Timestream Entanglement, creating new worlds and conflicts still to be discovered.” The story will see Marvel villains and heroes work together to defeat both versions of Doctor Doom before it’s too late.
