Here’s everything you need to know about the five Spotlight Hour events taking place in December 2024.

The year is nearly over, but there are still plenty of limited-time events to look forward to in Pokemon Go. (Don’t believe us? Just check out our monthly overview to see them all!)

Included in the December lineup are five Spotlight Hour events, which will each feature one or more Pokemon and a unique in-game bonus. Here’s a full rundown of December’s Spotlight Hour events to help you prepare!

Digital Only

December 3, 2024 - Sableye

  • Time: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time
  • Featured bonus: 2x Catch Stardust
  • Can Sableye be Shiny? Yes

Remember, you can activate a Star Piece to earn 50% more Stardust for 30 minutes. This Star Piece bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, allowing you to earn tons of Stardust during this event.

December 10, 2024 - Murkrow

  • Time: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time
  • Featured bonus: 2x Catch XP
  • Can Murkrow be Shiny? Yes

We recommend activating a Lucky Egg during this event to double the number of experience points you receive for a limited time. The Lucky Egg bonus will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus, further boosting the XP you’ll earn with each catch!

December 17, 2024 - Slugma and Bergmite

  • Time: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time
  • Featured bonus: 2x Catch Candy
  • Can Slugma be Shiny? Yes
  • Can Bergmite be Shiny? Yes

Don’t forget to toss Pinap Berries at Pokemon to double the number of Pokemon Candy you receive when you catch them. The bonus you receive from each Pinap Berry will stack with the Spotlight Hour bonus. If you need Slugma and Bergmite Candy, this will be your chance to really stock up!
