Beginning October 20, 2024, shoppers will be able to purchase Pokemon Go gift cards in four denominations. Each card will allow players to redeem a code for a certain amount of PokeCoins, the game’s currency.
- $10 - 1,250 PokeCoins
- $25 - 3,300 PokeCoins
- $50 - 7,000 PokeCoins
- $100 - 15,000 PokeCoins
In addition to selling these gift cards, Walmart stores will also begin appearing within Pokemon Go as PokeStops and Gyms, giving players the chance to interact with these digital locations as they visit Walmart stores in the real world.
Frank Barbieri, vice president of content and digital at Walmart, said:
“Pokémon GO has continued to stay relevant over time and now appeals to multiple generations of game enthusiasts. As a destination for gamers, I’m excited to expand our assortment with Pokémon GO gift cards and cannot wait for more players to enjoy the game with our new PokéStops and Gyms in their nearest Walmart store.”
