Pokemon Go Harvest Festival Introduces Shiny Smoliv

A Harvest Festival event is coming soon to Pokemon Go, which will focus on Pokemon inspired by plants, like pumpkins and olives.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Harvest Festival event!

Event date and time

The Harvest Festival event will run from Thursday, November 7, 2024 at 10 a.m. local time until Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at 8 p.m. local time.

New Pokemon added with this event

Once this event begins, Shiny Smoliv will become available to encounter in Pokemon Go.

Event bonuses and features

The following in-game bonuses and features will be active during the Harvest Festival event:

2x catch candy
Increased chance to encounter Shiny Pumpkaboo
Mossy Lure Modules will attract different Pokemon, including Alolan Exeggutor, Snorlax, Pumpkaboo, and Smoliv
Collection Challenges will be available, rewarding players with Stardust and Smoliv encounters
PokeStop Showcases will be active

The Pumpkaboo attracted to Mossy Lure Modules during this event will have a higher chance of being “Super Size” than Pumpkaboo found in the wild.

Wild encounters

The following Pokemon will appear more frequently than normal in the wild during the Harvest Festival event:

Oddish
Exeggcute
Hoppip
Sunkern
Miltank
Zigzagoon
Bunnelby
Small Size Pumpkaboo
Average Size Pumpkaboo
Large Size Pumpkaboo
Smoliv

Super Size Pumpkaboo will also have the chance to appear in the wild during this event, though it will be rarer than the other featured Pokemon.

All of these Pokemon will have the chance to be Shiny.

Field Research tasks

Players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during the Harvest Festival event to receive encounters with Pumpkaboo and Smoliv. Pumpkaboo encountered through these rewards will have the chance to be any size.

Both of these Pokemon will have the chance to be Shiny.

Premium Timed Research

Players will have the option to spend $2 on a ticket that will give them access to Timed Research during the Harvest Festival event. Players can complete this Timed Research to receive the following rewards:
