The Just My Cup of Tea event is coming soon to Pokemon Go, adding two ghostly (yet delightful) new Pokemon to the free-to-play mobile game.

Here’s what you need to know about the Just My Cup of Tea event in Pokemon Go!

Event date and time

The Just My Cup of Tea event will run from Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 10 a.m. local time until Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 8 p.m. local time.

New Pokemon added with this event

Once the Just My Cup of Tea event begins, Sinistea and Polteageist will become available to collect in Pokemon Go. Players will be able to evolve Sinistea into Polteageist using 50 Sinistea Candy.

Event bonuses

Two in-game bonuses will be active during this event:

  • 2x friendship bonus damage in Raids
  • Players will receive 50% more Stardust when completing Raids

Wild encounters

The following Pokemon will appear more frequently than normal in the wild during the Just My Cup of Tea event:

  • Slowpoke
  • Taillow
  • Slakoth
  • Duskull
  • Starly
  • Greavard

Slowpoke, Taillow, Slakoth, Duskull, and Starly will have the chance to be Shiny. As of this writing, Shiny Greavard isn’t available in Pokemon Go.

Incense Encounters

The following Pokemon will be attracted to Incense during this event, and there will be an increased chance of encountering Shiny ones:

  • Oddish
  • Miltank
  • Combee
  • Gothita
  • Litwick
  • Spritzee

Raids

Here’s the Raid lineup for this event:

One-Star Raids

  • Male Frillish
  • Female Frillish
  • Sinistea

Male and Female Frillish can be Shiny.

Three-Star Raids

  • Galarian Mr. Mime
  • Hisuian Braviary
  • Bombirdier

All of these Pokemon can be Shiny.

Five-Star Raids

  • Genesect (Chill Drive)

Genesect can be Shiny.

Mega Raids

  • Mega Banette

Banette can be Shiny.

Field Research

Players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this event to receive Stardust and encounters with event-themed Pokemon.

Timed Research

Players can complete Timed Research tasks during this event to receive experience points, Stardust, and event-themed Pokemon encounters.

Collection Challenge

Players can complete a Collection Challenge during this event to receive a Sinistea encounter. This is a helpful bonus for players who may not be able to participate in Raids during this event.

PokeStop Showcases

PokeStop Showcases will be active at PokeStops during this event. Players can enter event-themed Pokemon in these Showcases for the chance to receive in-game rewards.
