A short limited-time event called Young & Wise is coming soon to Pokemon Go, featuring a selection of baby Pokemon and older pocket monsters that may be considered wise and/or elders.

Here’s what you need to know about the Young & Wise event in Pokemon Go!

Event date and time

The Young & Wise event will run from Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 10 a.m. local time until Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 8 p.m. local time.

Event bonuses

Two in-game bonuses will be active during this event:

2x XP when hatching Eggs

2x XP when winning Raids

Raids

The following Pokemon will appear in Raids during the Young & Wise event:

One-Star Raids

  • Shinx
  • Scraggy
  • Tyrunt
  • Phantump
  • Jangmo-o

Three-Star Raids

  • Alakazam
  • Oranguru
  • Drampa
  • Wydeer

Five-Star Raids

  • Genesect (Chill Drive) - Will appear in Raids until December 12, 2024 at 10 a.m. local time

Mega Raids

  • Mega Banette - Will appear until December 12, 2024 at 10 a.m. local time
  • Mega Latios - Will begin appearing on December 12, 2024 at 10 a.m. local time

All of these Pokemon will have the chance to be Shiny.

Eggs

A selection of “baby” Pokemon will have the chance to hatch from 2 km Eggs collected during the Young & Wise event:

  • Togepi
  • Tyrogue
  • Smoochum
  • Bonsly
  • Happiny
  • Munchlax

All of these Pokemon can be Shiny.

Other event features

Field Research tasks, Collection Challenges, and PokeStop Showcases will all be active during the Young & Wise event.

Players will be able to complete Field Research tasks to receive event-themed Pokemon encounters, while the rewards for the Collection Challenges include experience points and more event-themed Pokemon encounters. Finally, players will be able to enter their event-themed Pokemon in Showcases for the chance to win in-game rewards.
