Roblox The Haunt Celebrates Halloween With a Spooky Photography Challenge
Players can capture screenshots inspired by themes like "Creatures" and "Scary" for a chance to win in-game rewards.

Halloween is nearly upon us, and Roblox has kicked off its festivities in the form of a limited time event called The Haunt.
Running October 24 - November 1, 2024, The Haunt takes a page from the popular Roblox experience Dress to Impress by encouraging players to dress their avatar to match one of five themes and then take a screenshot of their avatar within the event hub or participating experiences. Players can submit their screenshots to the relevant categories (Scary, Creatures, Cute, Villains, or Orange) to be voted on by other Roblox users.
On the first day of the event, only the “Creatures” category is available for submissions and voting, but an additional category will be unlocked each day until all five are available.
Participants can submit one screenshot each day per available category, and they’ll receive prizes as they submit the required number of shots across categories. For instance, they’ll receive the Orange Horns item for submitting a single screenshot to one of the event categories.

Players will also receive rewards for voting, with the first prize, the “Golem of Decay” avatar necklace, requiring them to cast five votes. Players can vote up to five times per day in each available category.
If participants place in the top 50% of any category after the first round of voting ends, they’ll receive a “runner up prize.” If they place in the top 10% after the first round, they’ll earn a prize for that category and move onto the second round of voting. Players who place in the top 10% of the second round of voting for a category will receive an “exclusive grand prize.”
In addition to voting, players can complete activities within The Haunt event hub to receive items they can use throughout the area, like a “Pure Light Lantern,” which can be found by digging up graves in the hub’s cemetery (watch out for the jump scares). Additional areas within the event hub will unlock as the event progresses.
