THQ Nordic's summer showcase delivered Gothic, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and even a teensy hint toward a new Darksiders game. Here are all the trailers from the show.

The THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2024 arrived fashionably late this summer. Sauntering in after the all-too-eager likes of Summer Game Fest and Ubisoft Forward, it casually tossed out trailers for several upcoming games, including the Gothic 1 remake and Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed. We were even offered a tease for a new Darksiders project! Very cheeky. If you’ve still got space in your gaming calendar, here are all the announcements from the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2024.

Handy Games Showcase

Before the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2024 fired up proper, we were treated to a pre-show of the Handy Games Showcase. This included quick looks at: the Trains & Trades update for Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure; upcoming roguelike Lethal Honor - Order of the Apocalypse; a mobile release for Way of the Hunter; the whisker-twitching 3D adventure A Rat's Quest - The Way Back Home; and inking parlor sim, Tattoo Tycoon.

The Eternal Life of Goldman

First up in the core lineup to the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2024 was The Eternal Life of Goldman, a “vibrant yet dark platformer adventure.” Its intensive-looking 2D platforming is realized in a hand-drawn, cartoon style. If the trailer is anything to go by, the soundtrack will be pretty impressive, too.

Space for Sale

Now available in Early Access, Space for Sale is all about establishing alien holiday homes across the galaxy. That means resource collection, crafting, and base building as you establish a neighborhood amongst even more alien surroundings. It also features two-player co-op.

Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed

The monochrome mouse was up next with another look at the remake of his 2010 Wii adventure. Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a 3D platformer that sees the iconic character wielding a magical paintbrush to rescue a fantastical land he accidentally corrupted.

Wreckfest 2

If you’re of the contingent disgusted by just how clean most modern racers look, this one’s for you. Wreckfest 2 was announced for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, with an “entirely overhauled physics engine” that will mostly be used for crunching cars into one another. In great news, it promises to feature split-screen support!

Titan Quest 2

Next on the docket was an updated look at Titan Quest 2. Announced last year, the action-RPG sequel retains its Ancient Greek mythological setting, letting you customize your warrior’s build to battle against mighty beasts of all sizes.

Gothic 1 Remake

More than two decades after its original release, Gothic returns in what looks to be a faithful remake. The setting sees you assigned to a penal mining colony, locked behind a magical barrier. The remake promises to add some new stories and expand elements that fans of the original know well already.

Way of the Hunter: Lintukoto Reserve

Next was a trailer for the recently released Lintukoto Reserve DLC for Way of the Hunter. It introduces a fresh landscape with new creatures including arctic foxes and lynx.

Tarsier Studios Project

Warning: The trailer below contains gruesome content.

The THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2024 entered teaser time toward its end, starting with a brief and unsettling hint for a new game by Little Nightmares developer Tarsier Studios. We’ll have to wait until Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 20 to find out what this talking, sewn up pig is all about.

Darksiders

To close out, the THQ Nordic Showcase dangled a brief teaser for a new Darksiders project in front of us. That sulfurous smell certainly hints towards Darksiders 4 and a Strife-led adventure…

That completes our recap of the THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2024 trailers and announcements. The entire showcase is available to watch here, in case you're worried we've skipped over something, though we're a little hurt that you'd think we might!
