Every Ubisoft Forward 2024 Trailer and Announcement
Assassin's Creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws were joined by a wealth of updates to existing games during Ubisoft Forward 2024.

Open worlds with a bevy of stuff to collect? It can only be the Ubisoft Forward 2024 summer showcase! This year, Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin’s Creed Shadows proudly hogged the limelight, but there was plenty to see for fans of other Ubisoft games, too. If you missed it, don’t fret: we’ve got all the trailers and announcements below.
The Ubisoft Forward Pre-Show
Before the Ubisoft Forward 2024 showcase kicked off proper, we were treated to a pre-show featuring a number of Ubisoft-supported games. These included Rocksmith+ coming to PlayStation, indie hotel investigation game This Bed We Made, Just Dance VR coming to Meta Quest 3 October 15, a new digital Monopoly releasing September 2024, party game King of the Hat, a reminder of tactical shooter Rainbow Six: Siege, a celebration of a Ubisoft photo mode contest (learn more about virtual photography here), metroidvania Biomorph, the Early Access launch of ball-based shooter BattleCore Arena, For Honor: Year 8 Season 2, Assassin’s Creed Mirage on iOS, and finally The Division 2: Year 6 Season 1. Star Wars Outlaws
Release date: August 30, 2024
Ubisoft Forward 2024 punched its thrusters to full right from the start, opening with an extended gameplay look at Star Wars Outlaws. There was a core gameplay trailer, and we also got a 10-minute gameplay showcase in which protagonist Kay hops between planets before infiltrating a hostile base.
XDefiant: Season One
Release date: July 2, 2024
Second on the docket was XDefiant, Ubisoft’s free-to-play team FPS. This was a showcase for what’s to come in the game’s first season, including new weapons and a Capture The Flag mode.
Skull and Bones
Release date: February 16, 2024
Pirate-em-up Skull and Bones took to the seas next with a showcase of upcoming content in the current and next season for the game. In short: more ships, 5v5 PvP, and a fancy sea dragon monster.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown - Divine Trials and Story DLC
DLC release date: September 2024
Ubisoft’s excellent metroidvania from early 2024 now has a free update called the Divine Trials. This adds a series of challenges including puzzles, platforming, and boss fights. There’s also story DLC on the way later this summer.
The Rogue Prince of Persia
Release date: May 27, 2024 (Early Access)
Sticking with ancient royalty, next was a quick update on The Rogue Prince of Persia, a 2D roguelike created by Dead Cells developer Evil Empire. It has an update on the way which adds a new area called the Temple of Fire.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Release date: 2026
But wait, Prince of Persia isn’t done just yet! Ubisoft Forward 2024 revealed that a remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is still in the works. The bad news? It won’t be here until 2026. If anyone reading this has access to time-shifting powers, please let us know.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – The Sky Breaker Story Pack
DLC release date: July 16, 2024
We’re off to Pandora now with a trailer for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora’s Sky Breaker Story Pack DLC. It sees a disaster unfold during the Na’vi’s great festival of games.
The Crew Motorfest: Chase Squad
Release date: November 2024
Angry speedsters have a lot to look forward to with The Crew Motorfest’s upcoming seasons. As well as a new Hawaiian island, the game’s second year of updates will introduce Chase mode, in which players can hunt and take down street racers as part of the Chase Squad.
Anno 117: Pax Romana
Release date: 2025
One for cooler heads now with a look at the city building and expansion of Anno 117: Pax Romana. Take the role of governor of the province of Albion or of Latium and attempt to cultivate your city and citizens to a prosperous future. There’s more to be shown on June 18 in a dedicated livestream.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Release date: November 15, 2024
Here’s the other big one then: a lengthy look at Assassin’s Creed Shadows. In addition to a new trailer, we received a gameplay showcase detailing Yasuke’s direct fighting style and Naoe’s stealthier, more traditional Assassin’s Creed approach. Oh and yes, there’s a collector’s edition with a fancy statue.
Star Wars Outlaws Extra details
Ubisoft Forward 2024 closed with a repeat of the earlier Star Wars Outlaws gameplay showcase. This time around we got a separate narration covering various bits of lore and easter eggs included within.
